Day 1 - Monday 4th January 2010 
 
I stepped on the scales this morning for the first time in a month. I weighed in at 11st 4 with a BMI of 30.9. So that is just in the obese category. (I ate way too much at Christmas!) You can find out your BMI by clicking here. I am aiming to get to 8st 4 (BMI 22.7) - so that is a total weight loss of 3 stone. I am going to follow the New You Total Food Replacement Plan using only the New You Diet Meal Replacements to achieve weight loss of 3 stones in 3 months. I am hoping I will achieve this goal in 10 weeks... but hey, if it is 12 weeks I will still be happy! :) 
 
Breakfast:

Irish Stew Meal (and it actually does taste like irish stew! wow!)

I felt quite hungry and tired by the end of the day, so I had an early night. Glad to get Day 1 over me and looking forward to getting the first week completed and getting into ketosis. I should be in ketosis for wednesday and thursday. I have some ketostix, so I will test myself from tomorrow and see how long it takes! 
Day 2 - Tuesday 5th January 2010 
 
Breakfast: Strawberry Cream Wafer 
Lunch: Cream of Onion and Crouton Soup (was very cold today so this was really nice to have the warm soup and it tasted lovely.) 
Afternoon Snack: Sour Cream and Onion Snacks (I really like these and they are very filling!) 
Tea: Spaghetti Bolognese Meal 
 
Water: I started to have some sparkling water today. It makes a nice change. Had my usual 5 cups of black coffee throughout the day. I just about drank 2 litres total today, but will aim to improve on this tomorrow. 
 
I don't feel hungry at all today, which I am quite surprised about! I tested for ketones and already the test shows traces (I am in the light pink category). So hopefully I will be fully into ketosis tomorrow! I am feeling very settled into the diet already and I am looking forward to the whole process. It is much easier knowing that I can have the snacks and the meals. Having done a shake only diet on lipotrim, this seems like a dream being able to have so many additional foods! Looking forward to my first weigh in! 
Day 3 - Wednesday 6th January 2010 
 
I didnt feel hungry at all this morning when I woke up. I did have a sore head though, so took some nurofen and my headache was fading after about half an hour. I tested for ketones today and I am fully into ketosis now, which is great, and I have to say that I have found the first 3 days to be not too bad at all! I really think having a wide choice of foods that actually taste nice is helping me so much. I dont think I could be just taking shakes at the moment, especially as it is sooo cold outside, there is snow everywhere!

Day 4 - Thursday 7th January 2010 
 
I can't believe that it is Thursday already! This week has flown by and I am finding the new you diet to be easier than I thought. I haven't been feeling hungry at all, and I am really looking forward to my weigh in next monday. I probably should be drinking more water, its so cold that I have been drinking a lot of hot black coffee! I haven't weighed myself yet, im going to save my first weigh in to Monday! So fingers crossed it is a good one! 
 
My menu plan for today is...

Day 5 - Friday 8th January 2010 
 
I didn't even think about food today, felt really good all day, and got lots done in work, so it was a very productive and non-thinking-about-food day! I tasted the water flavourings today for the first time, they are quite nice, and make a change from just drinking plain water. Think I am going to try one in sparkling water next, see how that tastes!  
 
It is minus 5 degrees or something crazy! I am really liking the hot meals and drinks, dont know if I could do it without them.

Day 6 - Saturday 9th January 2010 
 
OMG! Day 6 - wow can't believe it is day 6 already. First week has been a lot easier than the time I did the lipotrim diet. I hope my first weigh in is good, will find out on monday! Wont be long now.

I am liking the water flavouring more today, had a couple of the summer berry flavourings in the evening time, so probably drank over 2.5litres of water in total today which is great!  
 
Day 7 - Sunday 10th January 2010 
 
Well I am on day 7 and feeling really good, I am a little bit nervous about my weigh in tomorrow, and just hope that it is a good one! I have been really busy this weekend doign a good clear out around the house.

Breakfast: Black coffee and a vanilla wafer (I have no hot choc or cappucinnos left, but will definitely be getting these for breakfast next week, and also for supper time treat).

Day 8 - Monday 11th January 2010 
WEEK ONE WEIGH IN! 
 
Well I stood on the scales this morning for my first weigh in and I have lost 8 pounds in my first week! I am really over the moon with this result! It is a great start and I feel so much more confident and motivated about getting to my goal. I know that weight loss in the first week is always the biggest, and will be aming to achieve consistent weight loss each week of between 3-5 pounds.

Day 9 - Tuesday 12th January 2010 
 
I have been getting lots of emails from New You dieters who are also on the first week, the weight loss results are all amazing!!! It is very motivating to get such a good weight loss in the first week, as it gives you the inspiration to keep going. Weight loss results from other New You dieters are ranging from 7 pounds to 10 p and everyone is keen for week 2! It does get easier in week 2 as ketosis is well settled into and the desire for food and hunger subsides dramatically. 
 
Many people don't always eat because of hunger, emotion does play a big role in many people over eating, so it does take a few weeks before your brain actually realises there is no point thinking of food to conquer boredom or stress! They do say it takes 21 days to break a habit, so this is a good habit to break! 
 
I have really noticed a big difference in my hunger levels over the last couple of days. In work yesterday and today I had my morning coffee and ate half a wafer and I did not even do this consiously, I just never thought to eat the second wafer! Last week I ate both wafers in the pack and to be honest I could of had another pack lol. But today I didnt even think to eat the full pack!! Thats a great sign and encourages me even more than I will get to my goal BMI of 22 for March!!

Day 10 - Wednesday 13th January 2010 
 
Today I have to say that I did feel a bit slimmer! I haven't weighed myself since Monday, but I am looking forward to next Monday to weigh again!  
 
I used to dread weigh in days when I went to the local slimming class, it was always a big unknown? Will I have lost 1 pound or 2 pounds? Will I have stayed the same? Or nightmare of all nightmares, will I have put on the 1 pound that I lost last week?? Shessh! All I have to think about now is will I have lost 3 pounds, 4 pounds, or could I really pull a big 5 pounds out of the bag?? Hmmm... (fingers crossed!) lol 
 
I want to start introducing some daily exercise, I am going to start going on the vibrostation everyday, and also going to start walking my dog (Rocco the crazy pug) every day. I hope to start this routine this week. I have written it down now so I guess I have to!! lol

Water has been better today, and I am on track to drink over 2.5 litres. I also took my multivitamin today as I do everyday. 
Day 11 - Thursday 14th January 2010 
 
Well to be honest I have to admit that I have found the last 24 hours to be the hardest so far. I really felt like eating last night so much. I have had a few really big things happen on Monday and Tuesday, and I actually coped with these fine at the time, but I think last night I just let it all get to me and really did feel so tempted to eat something so I had a mocha wafer with my hot chocolate. I put the TV on and see all the news about the earthquake in Haiti and that soon made me stop feeling sorry for myself and the desire to eat left me. I am glad I didnt cave in and I am still on the TFR choo choo train heading to destination Slimdom (nice place you should go there some day, maybe meet you there! lol)

Day 12 - Friday 15th January 2010 
 
Well I feel like I am back on easy street today! Finding things really easy again today, and slipping into my jeans this morning made me feel a million times better as I could really feel a difference. :-)

Day 13 - Saturday 16th January 2010 
 
Week 2 is almost over! I have been out and about all day today, I br ought a chocolate cream wafer with me in my handbag and went to starbucks when I was out shopping and had a black americano and my chocolate cream wafer. It felt really good being able to have something nice and be on a total food replacement diet, I didnt fell sorry for myself at all.  
 
I went for walk around some clothes shops for some motivation, I wouldn't be buying anything at the moment as I know that every few weeks I will be dropping a dress size. Debenham's has got some beautiful new clothes in the Star range by Julien McDonald. The clothes are all really summery, but I think it will be a while before the weather is here to be able to wear them! I am looking forward to going shopping when I am a size 8-10. Part of me is tempted to get some clothes in smaller sizes in case they have gone by the time I get slim, but then I dont want to miss out on the fun of going shopping when I am slim! lol Maybe I will treat myself to something in a few weeks time when I am closer to goal! Hmmm.. decisions decisions! :)

Day 14 - Sunday 17th January 2010 
 
Weigh in day tomorrow. I haven't got a clue what my weight loss will be this week! I definitely feel like my clothes are getting looser on me, which is good, so I am hopeful that the scales will reflect this also!  
 
I also know not to get hung up too much on the weight loss results of a single weekly weight loss. I know that as long as I keep doing what I am doing, and take the New You Diet Meal Replacements every day, and drink plenty of water that I should get a monthly weight loss of approx 1 stone per month. So whatever happens tomorrow I know I am on the right track. 
 
I feel like I am more settled into the diet now as well. I really am enjoying the protein hot meal replacements like the spaghetti bolognese, red bean chili con carne and irish stew.

Day 15 - Monday 18th January 2010 
WEEK TWO WEIGH IN 
 
Well today is weigh in day, and I lost 2 pounds, which although seems quite low, it is 10 pounds off in 2 weeks, which is great! I am going to ensure that this week I do everything that I can to get a good weight loss of 4 pounds, which will give me 1 stone off in 3 weeks. 
 
I am going to focus on having more total food replacement diet shakes and also the meal replacement soups this week, and save the wafers and meal replacement bars for an occassional treat rather than having one every day. I am also going to ensure that I drink the water quota for the day everyday. As I know some days last week I fell  
 
Now that the first two weeks are over me I really want to start getting active, so I am going to start walking the dog and going on the vibrostation. 
 
I am feeling very determined to ensure that I hit my target of 1 stone off in 3 weeks! I am very settled into the diet now and feel that this is a very achievable goal for me this weeek.

Day 16 - Tuesday 19th January 2010 
 
I have the strangest wardrobe of clothes, I have lots of clothes, but at the same time I have no clothes!! My clothes range from size 8 to size 14. So at any one time approx 70% of my wardrobe doesn't fit me. I am determined when I get slim this time that I will get rid of all big clothes and only have a wardrobe of small clothes!!!  
 
Anyway, today I tried on a pair of next trousers that I havent tried on in months, as I knew they would be too small for me, and they fit! That feels good, and even though my weight loss was only 2 pounds this week, I do feel like my clothes are definitely looser on me which definitley spurs me on.

Day 17 - Wednesday 20th January 2010 
 
Wow, I can't believe that it is mid week already, and weigh in 3 is fast approaching!! I am really hoping to pull a good weight loss out of the bag this week. I had meant to start exercising but have been so busy that I have to got started. I really want to get moving with this, as I know it will help me to feel better, help me to get fitter and healthier, and help with my weight loss, most of all though I really want to build exercise into my life as LONG TERM routine as I know this will stand by me in regards to weight control and general health and well being. I also want to tone up, so I have a lot of work to do!!  
 
I have received emails from dieters who have started going to the swimming pool and who are getting out and getting active. It is great to hear the healthy changes and this inspires me to do the same!

I decided to add a little greenery to my meal tonight, and it was really nice! It is great to be able to sit down with people and enjoy a nice meal. I dont feel so isolated as I did when I was on the shakes only diet I did. I feel like I am living in the real world and dont feel deprived at all!  
 
I also have experimented with the meals cooked in the microwave and on the hob, and I have to sya I think I prefer the hob better, although the microwave is good in work. 
Day 19 - Friday 22nd January 2010 
 
Holy Moly! I cant believe that January is almost over! This month really has flown by. I am glad that I got started on TFR. I have 3 stone to lose so I know I am almost one thrud fo the way there. They do say that the first few weeks are the hardest and to be honest I havent found it THAT hard so far. Dont get me wrong there have been some hard days and times when I have been tempted to eat food, but overall it hasnt been torture or anything. I think the choice is so good that sometimes I dont even feel like I am on a diet! 
 
I reckon if I have got the first few weeks over me then the next month should be a lot easier. I also think the first stone doesnt make that much of a difference, yes I do feel slightly better and my clothes arent as tight, but I still dont feel that slim. Once I get the 2nd stone off (goal for end of feb) then I think I will be feeling and looking much better.

Just stayed in the house today. I did some housework and then I watched slumdog millionaire for the third time (i love that movie)! I have to say today has been very easy as I havent thought about food at all!

Ihave really took a wee notion for the banana shakes this last few days! They are really nice and refreshing. I like them whisked up in the electric blender with some ice!  
 
CSI New York is on TV tonight - so I am contemplating having some salt and vinegar snacks late while I watch that. :) 
Day 21 - Sunday 24th January 2010 
 
Yay!!! Well I decided to weigh myself a day early and I am absolutely over the moon to be able to report that I have lost 1 stone! Yes that is 14 whole pounds in 2 weeks and 6 days! lol  
 
Im feeling really chuffed and even more spurred on to get to my goal! Im 33% of the way there already, and this week really has been a breeze for me. So I am hoping that this positive momentum will continue and I will just glide my way to slimdom with no big issue. 
 
I am still hopeful that I might even pull another pound out of the bag for tomorrow which is my official weigh in day. It won't be long until I am back in the 9 stone bracket, so I am really looking forward to that milestone. I am 10st 4 now, so another 5 pounds (probably take about 10 days to achieve this).

WEEK THREE WEIGH IN - 1 STONE DOWN! YAY 
 
Ding Dong! Well I have achieved my goal and I lost the first stone in 3 weeks. It is a great feeling and I am really keen to get working on stone number two! :) One down, two more to go! And I feel like its going to be really fine doing this, my confidence about success is just growing every day as I find it easier and easier to stick to the diet. Food thoughts are vrey rare now and I feel very comfortable and enjoying the products.

Today has been a hard day at work and it is the times like these when I would nomally be "treating" myself to something tonight to make myself feel "better"! But I don't feel like that at all today. Infact I probably feel better because I know I am not going to eat so it helps me to feel a little bit more in control of everything.

Well (drum roll please) I have weighed in for week 4 weigh in and happy to report another 3 pound loss! 
 
That brings me to 10st 1 and almost 100% guaranteed to be back in the 9stone bracket next monday! Whoop! I really cant wait to get there, as it is such a big personal milestone for me and I know that I will feel on top of the world when I get there. 
 
I have been away and not online much the last few days, so I have some catching up to do with my online TFR diary! But I will piece together the missing days and fill you in soon!

Well day 30! Wow! Time does fly when you are having fun! I found I had a lot of focus today, the online New You meeting was last night and it was great to get inspired by other New You Dieters. It was good fun and really helped me to refocus on my goals and get more determination for success. If you would like to join in with the online meetings the details are on the website.

Day 36 - Monday 8th February 2010 
WEEK FIVE WEIGH IN! 
 
I can hardly believe that I have been on the New You Diet for five weeks! It really has flown in! 
 
I lost 3 pounds this week!!! Which brings me comfortably into the glorious 9s. Weighing in at 9st 12!!! Another 10 pounds to go and I will be at my healthy BMI!! 
I would love to reach this goal by the end of February. 
 
My clothes are now getting ridiculously loose on me. I seem to have clothes that are either too big for me or too small for me! Hopefully in the coming weeks I will have more wardrobe options. I really don't want to have to buy any new clothes at this stage as I will only get a month or so wear out of them. 
 
My life has been totally hectic and it will be for another week or so. I am moving offices this week, so hopefully in the next week or two things will settle back into a good routine. I do think I function better when I have a good routine in my life, and I am keen to get this back.  
 
I am glad I am on total food replacement, as it makes food options easier and I feel in control. I know that one of my weaknesses is that when I don't have routine in my life that I tend to eat anything going and most of it is fast food. So I glad that I am sticking to the New You Diet even with all the madness that is going on at the moment! 
 
I have to say that I now think I am totally addicted to the New You Cream Wafers! 
 
I absolutely them. I went to Dublin at the weekend, and I had my wafer with a black coffee in the room for breakfast. They are sooo nice that I can see them becoming a long term part of my healthy eating plan. 
 
Day 41 - Saturday 13th February 2010 
 
I went shopping today and got myself a new top and cardi from Debenhams. I am so inbetween with my clothes, so even though I want to save my main shop for when I get to goal, I felt like I wanted to treat myself to something new.  
 
I also did a good clear out today and brought a pile of clothes that don't fit anymore to the charity shop. I kept a few nice ones to put on ebay, I have never sold any clothes on ebay before, but another New You Dieter has told me that she has been selling all her "big" clothes on ebay and made a nice wee sum in the process! So I thought I might give it a whirl this week, afterall it will be good to have some extra funds to buy some new clothes with in a couple of months time! :) 
 
Overall this week I have been so busy and have zero routine in my life, I have not had access to a kitchen and been working late every night, so it has been a tough week, and I have been eating way too many bars, wafers and snacks, simply because I have not been able to a kitchen much this week. I am expecting a low-ish weight loss on Monday, but I have got major resolve to get into exercising next week and really get maximising on my weekly weigh ins. 
 
I am very happy that I have lost 20 pounds so far and I honestly don't feel that I am on a TFR diet. I do feel very focused to step up and really get active and boost my weight loss results. Roll on next week! x 
Day 43 - Monday 15th February 2010 
WEEK SIX WEIGH IN! 
 
Week 6! How the hell did that happen!!!! I really cannot believe that it has been a whole 6 weeks!  
 
I weighed in 2 pounds lighter this week, I do feel a bit disappointed, but I did expect a low-ish weight loss due to the number of bars and wafers that I ate last week. I didn't have any kitchen access and I was working all hours, so it was too convenient for me to eat bars!! Doh!!  
 
Overall though I am delighted with my weight loss total, this brings me to 22 pounds in 6 weeks. So I am weiging in at 9st 10, and I have lost over 1.5stone! Not too shabby eh? :-) 
 
This week I am going to shake the bit out and really focus on having more liquids to make up for last week. I am uber determined to aim for 4 pounds off this week!!! :D
